Had lunch here today with a party of 10 and could not more highly recommend La Balestra. Loved the food - the wild boar ragu was excellent and some of the best pasta I’ve had anywhere in Italy. House white wine with lunch was perfect. The meat/cheese board was exactly as you’d expect. Nice salads, always a bonus to have greens with your Italian meal. I really liked that La Balestra was tucked into a quiet alley. Lovely outdoor dining. We could overhear someone practicing for an opera show and the local kids chatted to us through the daycare fence. Finished with espressos - perfect meal. 10/10 - great place to come

Lovely restaurant. Several dining spaces, but we sat on the porch across from (apparently), Europe’s largest plane tree (platano). It was quiet and the friendly and polite staff was very efficient. The appetizers and pasta we had were excellent with generous portions for the price. The meats that our neighbors got looked succulent as well. Great experience overall, would happily go back.

Dinner. Starting with the positives: the food is amazing, we shared a Caciotta and ham (10€), following we had a Tagliatelle Al Tartufo nero (15€) and Ravioli al burro tartufato. Great starter, really amazing pasta dishes. The negatives? The service was not up to the expectation, the restaurant is heavily understaffed: there were two (2) good waitresses but managing too many tables and doing too many things... that prevented to properly take care of customers. Finally, we had to wait a lot between the starter and the pasta, and they only had 1 (one!) dessert (cheesecake, which was good however).

Really nice little restaurant tucked away with a pleasant patio. Good truffle pasta and nice pizzas. Service was good enough, relatively friendly and not too slow.

We had salads and roasted vegetables, verdure alla piastra, a little too much carbon on the grillies. Very nice though, someone practicing piano across the way, a breeze across the patio. Chill. Nice.
